"Thornton's attention to the protection of surrounding historical elements was outstanding. Their team took the necessary precautions to protect the entire work area during construction and also to ensure the safety of visitors. The project's logistics were sometimes challenging, such as keeping the work area watertight during Tropical Storm Isaac, maneuvering a crane within a very tight area, and minimizing disruption during museum visiting hours. Through these and other challenges, Thornton's team was diligent and devised appropriate solutions.
